Tommy Turkey was a very special turkey. He had feathers the color of autumn leaves and a cheerful gobble that could be heard all across Farmer McGregor's field. But Tommy had a problem: he never wanted to go to bed!

Every night, as the sun dipped below the horizon, Tommy would try to stay awake. He'd chase fireflies, pretending they were tiny stars, and whisper secrets to the crickets. Farmer McGregor would gently remind him that sleep was important for growing big and strong.

One night, Tommy heard a tiny squeak coming from the old oak tree. He peeked inside and saw Pip, a little field mouse, caught in a prickly burr! Pip was so scared and couldn't get free.

Tommy, despite being tired, felt a surge of bravery. He carefully used his beak to gently pull the burr apart, freeing Pip. Pip was so grateful! He thanked Tommy with a big hug and a promise to tell all his friends about the kind turkey.

As Tommy helped Pip, he felt his eyelids getting heavy. The excitement of the rescue, and the quiet calmness of the night, made him feel sleepy. He snuggled down into his cozy nest in the hay.

He dreamed of flying with Pip and his friends, soaring through the starlit sky. He woke up feeling refreshed and happy, realizing that helping others and getting enough sleep made him feel wonderful.

From that day on, Tommy still loved his nighttime adventures, but he also understood the importance of a good night's sleep. He knew that being well-rested helped him to be a better friend and a braver turkey. And every night, he'd gobble a sweet 'goodnight' to the stars before drifting off to sleep.
