Freddie the Frog was a tiny, bright green frog with big, curious eyes. He lived near a sparkling pond, full of lily pads and yummy flies. But Freddie had a secret: he was scared of swimming!
All his friends – Fiona, Finn, and even little Lily – loved to splash and dive in the pond. They’d race each other to the biggest lily pad, giggling and kicking their little legs. But Freddie would just sit on the bank, watching them with longing.
One sunny morning, Fiona noticed Freddie’s sadness. "Why aren’t you swimming with us, Freddie?" she asked kindly.
Freddie mumbled, "I’m… I’m scared of the water." Fiona smiled. "Don’t worry, Freddie! Swimming is easy. I can teach you!"
Fiona gently showed Freddie how to kick his little legs and how to use his webbed feet to push through the water. She held his hand and guided him into the shallows. At first, Freddie felt a little wobbly and scared.
But Fiona was patient and encouraging. She helped him to take deep breaths and to trust in his ability. Slowly, Freddie began to feel more confident. He kicked his legs, and then he started to paddle with his arms.
Soon, Freddie was paddling all by himself! He wasn’t perfect, but he was swimming! He giggled with delight as he splashed water all around him. Fiona, Finn, and Lily cheered him on.
Freddie found that swimming was actually a lot of fun! He played games with his friends, racing them to the lily pads and splashing each other happily. He felt proud of himself for overcoming his fear.
That night, Freddie dreamt of swimming in the big pond with his friends. He had learned that with a little courage and a little help from his friends, he could do anything. And he knew that tomorrow would bring even more fun in the sun and water.
