Once upon a time, in a cozy little burrow nestled deep within a lush green forest, lived a fluffy bunny named Bunny. Bunny loved playing all day long. He chased butterflies, hopped through the tall grass, and gathered juicy carrots. But as the sun began to set, painting the sky in beautiful hues of orange and pink, it was time for bed.
Bunny, however, wasn't very keen on bedtime. He loved playing games with the fireflies and listening to the chirping crickets. He would wiggle and squirm, resisting going to his soft bed. His mama bunny would gently remind him that sleep is important for a strong and healthy bunny.
One night, Bunny was particularly resistant. He kept hopping around the burrow, pretending to look for hidden treasures. He wanted to play hide-and-seek with the moonbeams. His mama bunny smiled patiently.
‘My little bunny,’ she said softly, ‘sleep helps you grow strong and helps your body rest to play even more the next day.’ She tucked him into his cozy bed and placed a soft, warm blanket over him.
Bunny sighed, but he listened to his mama's gentle voice. He thought about all the fun he had during the day – the colorful flowers, the delicious carrots, and the friendly squirrels. He closed his eyes, trying to drift off to sleep.
He imagined himself as a tiny cloud floating among the stars. He pictured a sweet moon watching over him. Slowly, the sleepy feeling enveloped him. He felt calm and peaceful, ready for a good night's sleep. The sounds of the forest grew quieter and quieter.
The next morning, Bunny woke up feeling refreshed and energized. He had slept well and was excited to play. Bunny understood now that preparation for sleep was important for him to play happily the next day.
From that day on, Bunny looked forward to bedtime. He knew that a good night’s rest allowed him to grow stronger, to explore more, and to play even better. And every night, he'd look forward to his soft bed and the special feeling of a good night’s sleep.
