Leo the lion cub loved playing. He loved chasing butterflies, tumbling in the tall grass, and roaring at the setting sun. But every evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, a wistful feeling settled over him. His mom would gently nudge him towards the den.

"Sleepy time, Leo," she'd say, her voice a soft rumble. "Close your eyes and dream of the adventures you'll have tomorrow."

Leo often grumbled, "But I want to play! The world is so exciting!"

His mom would smile patiently. "The world is beautiful at night too," she would explain, "and your body needs rest to be strong for tomorrow's adventures."

Despite his protests, Leo learned to appreciate the quiet of the night. He would lie in his cozy den, listening to the gentle sounds of the forest. The hooting owls, the rustling leaves, and the distant chirping of crickets all created a soothing symphony that helped him calm down.

Leo realized that playing hard all day led to exciting adventures, but a good night's sleep gave him the energy and focus to truly experience those adventures. He started looking forward to the quiet, peaceful moments of bedtime.

He learned about the rhythm of the day, a routine of play, then rest. First, a gentle walk around the watering hole, a snack of juicy berries, a quick game with his siblings, and then, cozying up in his den.

He began to understand that a solid bedtime routine allowed his body to prepare for a restful night. It helped him relax his muscles, calm his mind, and dream peacefully.

One evening, Leo happily settled into his den, a comforting feeling washing over him. As he drifted off to sleep, he dreamed of all the exciting adventures waiting for him in the morning. He felt strong and rested, ready to face the day with energy and excitement.

He understood that sleep was a precious part of his day, a time to recharge and grow stronger, just like a plant needs water to blossom or a bird needs rest to fly. The comforting routine and quiet moments made Leo feel good.

And so, Leo, the lion cub, learned to love bedtime. He found joy in the quiet time, understanding that sleep was the secret ingredient to making every day the most exciting one.

He realised sleep was important for strong bodies and minds, and that was the best part of any day, even better than playing.

From then on, Leo happily welcomed sleepy time, knowing that the adventures that awaited him in the morning would be even more memorable because he'd taken the time to rest and rejuvenate himself. And he knew this important routine would always help him be the best version of himself.
