Snow White and the Kind Little Bird: A Bedtime Story

2 min read ・ Age 3

Once upon a time, nestled in a cozy little cottage, lived Snow White. She wasn't a princess *right now*, but she was a very kind girl. She loved to bake little berry pies and leave them on the windowsill for anyone who might be hungry.

One chilly morning, Snow White noticed a tiny bird with a broken wing. It shivered in the snow! Snow White gently scooped up the bird and brought it inside. She made a soft nest for it in a little box and carefully bandaged its wing with a clean cloth.

She fed the bird crumbs of her berry pie and gave it fresh water. The little bird chirped happily, and Snow White named her Lumi. Lumi loved to sit on Snow White’s shoulder while she tidied the cottage.

Soon, Lumi’s wing began to heal. Snow White was so happy to see her little friend getting stronger. She knew Lumi would soon be ready to fly again.

One sunny afternoon, Lumi fluttered her wings and took a little hop. Then, with a joyful chirp, she soared into the sky! Snow White waved goodbye, feeling a little sad but mostly happy for Lumi.

Just then, Snow White heard a rustling in the bushes. A grumpy old woodcutter had lost his way! He looked very worried. Snow White remembered how kind Lumi had been to her, and she knew she had to help.

She offered the woodcutter a warm berry pie and showed him the path back to his village. The woodcutter smiled, his face softening. 'Thank you, kind girl,' he said. 'You have a beautiful heart.'

Snow White realized that being kind wasn't just about helping little birds; it was about helping *everyone*! And when you are kind, it makes your own heart feel warm and bright.

As the stars twinkled, Snow White snuggled into bed, remembering Lumi and the woodcutter. She knew that even the smallest act of kindness could make a big difference. And that, she thought, was a very sweet dream indeed. Now close your eyes, little one, and dream sweet dreams too.
