The moon was a soft, glowing smile in the dark blue sky. Little Bear was getting ready for bed. Mama Bear was humming a quiet tune, and Papa Bear was fluffing Little Bear’s pillow. Everything was cozy and warm.

“Time for sleepy sighs, Little Bear,” Mama Bear whispered. Little Bear yawned a big, wide yawn. It was a very important yawn, because it meant sleepiness was coming!

Papa Bear pointed to the twinkling stars. “Each star is sending you a tiny, sparkly goodnight wish.” Little Bear giggled and tried to count them, but there were just too many! They twinkled and danced like little fireflies.

Mama Bear gently rocked Little Bear. “Listen,” she said. “Can you hear the night sounds? The crickets are chirping their sleepy song, and the wind is whispering secrets to the trees.”

Little Bear closed his eyes and listened. *Chirp, chirp… whoosh, whoosh…* It was a very peaceful sound. It made Little Bear feel safe and loved.

“Everything is quiet and calm, Little Bear,” Papa Bear said. “You are safe and warm, and we love you very, very much.”

Little Bear snuggled close to Mama Bear. He felt so sleepy now. He thought about all the fun things he did today – playing peek-a-boo, splashing in the bath, and eating yummy berries.

“Goodnight, stars,” Little Bear mumbled, his voice getting sleepier and sleepier. “Goodnight, moon. Goodnight, Mama and Papa.”

Mama Bear and Papa Bear kissed Little Bear’s forehead. “Sweet dreams, our little one,” they whispered together. Little Bear’s eyes closed, and he drifted off to sleep, dreaming of sparkly stars and loving hugs.

The moon smiled down on Little Bear, watching over him all night long. And everything was peaceful and quiet, just perfect for a sweet, sleepy baby.
