« Back to Topic

2 min read ・ Age 3

Little Bear was getting ready for bed. He yawned a big, sleepy yawn. Mama Bear tucked him in nice and snug. 'Now, Little Bear,' she said, 'let's say goodnight to everything in your room.'

Little Bear looked around. 'Goodnight room,' he whispered. The room was cozy and warm, painted a soft blue. He loved his room!

Then he saw his red balloon. 'Goodnight balloon,' he said. It bobbed gently near the ceiling. He remembered playing with it all afternoon, bouncing it up and down.

Next, he spotted his picture book. 'Goodnight book,' he murmured. It was a book about fluffy clouds and buzzing bees. He loved looking at the pictures with Mama Bear.

He saw his little wooden train. 'Goodnight train,' he said. Choo-choo! He imagined the train traveling to faraway lands, even while he slept.

Little Bear looked at his soft, green blanket. 'Goodnight blanket,' he whispered. It kept him warm and safe all night long. He snuggled into it happily.

He glanced at the window. The moon was shining bright! 'Goodnight moon,' he said softly. The moon looked like a friendly face smiling down at him.

Mama Bear pointed to the stars twinkling outside. 'Goodnight stars,' she said. 'They'll watch over you while you dream.'

Little Bear closed his eyes. He felt so peaceful and grateful for everything around him. He was thankful for his room, his toys, his blanket, and especially for his Mama Bear.

He took a deep breath and whispered, 'Goodnight Mama.' Mama Bear kissed his forehead. 'Goodnight, my sweet Little Bear,' she said. 'Sleep tight.'

Little Bear drifted off to sleep, dreaming of balloons, trains, and a bright, smiling moon. He knew that even when he was asleep, everything around him was safe and sound, and full of love. And that made him feel very, very happy.
