A kind zookeeper, Mr. Henderson, had a special wish: to fill his zoo with amazing animals. He wrote a letter to the animals, hoping that they would come to his zoo. He wrote to everyone, from the playful monkeys to the majestic lions, and everything in between. He hoped a lot of animals would write back and come to his zoo.

He waited and waited, but no animals came! Mr. Henderson was getting a bit worried. Maybe he’d have to choose different animals, or maybe his zoo wouldn’t have any animals at all. He loved animals so much.

One day, a tiny little letter slipped under the door. It was a letter from a very special animal: a friendly little squirrel. The squirrel promised to come and visit the zoo if they promised to give him a nice tree to live in.

Mr. Henderson was so happy. He imagined the little squirrel scampering among the tall trees, chattering happily with the birds. He knew that soon, the zoo would be home to so many adorable little animals. He immediately went to work getting a beautiful tree.

Days later, another letter arrived! It was from a shy little rabbit, who asked for a soft and cozy burrow. Mr. Henderson smiled. He imagined the bunny hopping happily around his new home.

And then, another letter! This one was from a majestic owl, who wanted a nice nest to rest in high in the trees. He would happily come to the zoo, if Mr. Henderson could give him a comfy nest. Mr. Henderson was ecstatic.

Soon, the zoo was filled with many animals! Mr. Henderson was so happy that all the animals could live together. Mr. Henderson was patient and kind to each and every animal. He had a wonderful zoo! The animals learned to be kind to each other, to be patient for the right things, and to be appreciative for what they had.

Each animal was grateful for its new home, and Mr. Henderson felt a great sense of joy and pride. He had learned the wonderful lesson that being patient and kind can bring great happiness and joy to all. He loved having the animals around.

Every night, as the zoo slept, Mr. Henderson looked at the animals, their eyes shining in the moonlight. He knew that as long as he was kind, they would always be happy at his zoo. They were happy and content.
