Luna was a very special unicorn. Her coat was the color of fresh snow, and her horn shimmered with all the colors of the rainbow. But Luna’s most amazing gift was her sparkle. Whenever she galloped, tiny, glittering sparkles floated from her hooves, making everything around her brighter and happier. Luna loved her sparkle, and sometimes, she didn’t want to share it.
She lived in a meadow filled with other magical creatures: fluffy cloud sheep, giggling flower fairies, and playful little sprites. They all loved Luna’s sparkle, but sometimes, Luna would gallop away when they came near, wanting to keep all the shimmer for herself. “It’s *my* sparkle,” she’d whisper, feeling a little bit sad even as she enjoyed it.
One day, the meadow began to look dull and gray. The flower fairies’ wings lost their glow, the cloud sheep looked droopy, and even the sprites weren’t bouncing as high. Old Man Willow, the wisest tree in the meadow, explained, “The meadow feels sad because no one is sharing their joy. Everything needs a little sparkle to brighten it up!”
Luna felt a pang of guilt. She knew she had plenty of sparkle, but she hadn’t been sharing it. She slowly walked towards a group of flower fairies whose wings were barely glimmering. Taking a deep breath, she began to gallop, letting her sparkle rain down on them. The fairies gasped as their wings began to shine again, even brighter than before!
Then, she galloped over to the cloud sheep, showering them with sparkle. They perked up immediately, their wool becoming fluffy and white. Finally, she sprinkled sparkle on the sprites, who zoomed around with renewed energy, leaving trails of glitter in their wake. As Luna shared her sparkle, something amazing happened. Her own sparkle seemed to grow brighter and warmer.
She realized that sharing her gift didn’t make her sparkle *less* – it made it *more*! And seeing her friends happy made Luna happier than she’d ever been before. Old Man Willow smiled. “See, Luna?” he said. “Joy grows when it’s shared.”
From that day on, Luna always shared her sparkle with everyone in the meadow. She learned that true happiness wasn’t about keeping things to herself, but about spreading joy and making others smile. And every night, as she drifted off to sleep, Luna’s sparkle filled the meadow with a warm, comforting glow, reminding everyone how wonderful it is to be kind and generous.
