Sleepy Sloth was a very cuddly sloth. He loved his nighttime routine, but sometimes, he wished it wasn't quite so long. He loved his warm bed, his soft blanket, and his favorite stuffed star, Twinkle.
One night, as the sun dipped below the horizon, Sleepy Sloth decided to try something new. He thought, 'Maybe I can finish my routine extra fast!' So, he zoomed through his bath, quickly brushed his teeth (almost swallowing his toothpaste!), and raced into his pajamas.
But as he scurried, he bumped into his friend, Little Firefly, who was struggling to carry a huge, glowing dandelion. 'Oh, excuse me!' cried Sleepy Sloth. 'Can I help you carry that?'
Little Firefly smiled, 'Oh, that would be wonderful! Thank you so much!' Together, they carried the giant dandelion to a field where it could light the way for the other fireflies.
Sleepy Sloth felt warm and fuzzy inside. He had helped his friend, and even though he'd been in a hurry, he felt good about his actions. However, he was starting to feel very tired.
Sleepy Sloth finally made it to his bed, yawned, and snuggled into his blanket with Twinkle. He realized that even though it's good to be efficient, hurrying through your bedtime routine might not always be the best idea. There's a special kind of magic to slowly preparing for sleep and spending time with friends.
Sleepy Sloth closed his eyes, and as the moon shone softly on his face, he drifted off to the sweetest dreams. He learned that helping others makes him feel good, and a slow, peaceful bedtime routine helps him have the best sleep of all.
