Sleepy Sloth loved bedtime, but tonight was different. His favorite sleeping hammock was missing! In its place was a small wooden box with a tricky lock and a note attached: "Solve the puzzle, find your bed!"
Sleepy Sloth wasn't scared; he was curious! He carefully examined the box. Little pictures were carved into the wood – a moon, a star, a banana, and a fluffy cloud. Underneath the pictures were numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4.
He thought hard. He remembered that the moon comes out at night, the star shines brightly, he loves bananas for a yummy snack, and fluffy clouds make him feel sleepy. Could that be the clue?
Sleepy Sloth tried arranging the numbers in the order of the pictures: night, shining, snack, sleepy. He matched 1 to the moon, 2 to the star, 3 to the banana, and 4 to the cloud. Click! The lock opened!
Inside the box was a small, rolled-up scroll. Unfurling it, he found another puzzle! It had a series of shapes - a circle, a square, a triangle, and a rectangle. Beneath each shape, a simple riddle was written.
The first riddle said: "I have no corners, but I'm perfectly round." Sleepy Sloth knew that was a circle! The next said: "I have four corners, and my sides are all the same." That was the square!
He quickly solved the remaining riddles, matching the triangle and rectangle to their descriptions. At the end of the scroll, a tiny map was drawn, leading to a secret spot behind the big oak tree.
Following the map, Sleepy Sloth found his hammock hanging in the most beautiful, peaceful spot! It was even more comfortable than before. He snuggled in, feeling very happy and proud of himself.
Sleepy Sloth had solved the puzzle and learned that even tricky problems can be solved with a little thought, patience, and a lot of curiosity. And as he drifted off to sleep, he smiled, knowing that tomorrow might bring even more exciting puzzles to solve.
