A Picture Perfect Bedtime Story

Barnaby Bunny loved to draw. He had a special box filled with crayons, each one a different vibrant color. He loved to sit by the whispering willow tree, sketching the fluffy clouds, the dancing butterflies, and the shiny dew drops on the grass.

One sunny morning, Barnaby saw a little bird, Pip, sitting on a branch, looking sad. He had lost his favorite little feather, the one that shimmered like a tiny star. Pip chirped sadly, his tiny heart filled with worry.

Barnaby knew exactly what to do. He pulled out his best crayon, a shimmering gold, and carefully sketched a perfect feather on a piece of paper. It was so beautiful, it looked just like Pip's lost feather.

‘Here you go, Pip!’ Barnaby said, gently placing the drawing on the branch. Pip hopped closer and looked at the picture. He chirped happily. It was almost like he held a real feather!

Pip hopped happily, chirping his thanks, and flew away. Barnaby smiled. He knew Pip would feel happy with the picture, almost as good as the real feather.

Later that day, a little squirrel, Squeaky, came to Barnaby. He was looking for a special flower for his sister's birthday. Barnaby's eyes lit up. He had a whole page of beautiful flower pictures in his book!

Squeaky carefully picked the picture of a beautiful, bright pink flower. Barnaby gave it to him, a happy twinkle in his eye. Squeaky hugged Barnaby, his heart filled with joy.

From that day on, Barnaby and his friends continued to use their gifts to share joy. Barnaby learned that sometimes, a picture, a drawing, or a kind word can be a gift even more precious than anything else.

He also learned that sharing isn't just about giving things away. It's about sharing your talents and your kindness with others. And as the sun began to set, casting long shadows across the meadow, Barnaby knew that every day was filled with opportunities to be kind and share his gifts. It felt wonderful to share.

Close your eyes now and imagine all the wonderful things you can create and share in the world. Sweet dreams.
