Finley was a little blue fish. He lived in a big, bubbly ocean filled with all sorts of fish! There was One Fish, a bright red fish who loved to zoom. And Two Fish, a pair of sparkly purple fish who always swam together, holding fins.
Finley sometimes felt a little shy. He wasn’t as fast as One Fish, and he didn’t have a best friend to swim with like Two Fish. He wished he was… different! He wished he could zoom like Red Fish, or always have a buddy.
One sunny morning, Finley saw Red Fish trying to build a coral castle. But Red Fish was zooming around *too* fast! The coral kept tumbling down. “Whoa there!” Finley called out. “Maybe if you went a little slower, it would stay put.”
Red Fish tried slowing down, and with Finley’s help, they built a beautiful, wobbly castle. Red Fish smiled. “Thanks, Finley! I’m good at zooming, but not so good at building slowly.”
Just then, Two Fish swam by, looking worried. “We’re trying to find the prettiest seashells for our mama,” one of the purple fish said, “but we keep getting lost!” They were so busy looking at shells, they weren’t looking where they were going.
Finley remembered a secret path through the seaweed. “Follow me!” he said. He led Two Fish safely to a patch of shimmering shells. “You’re amazing at finding your way!” said the other purple fish.
Finley realized something wonderful. He didn’t need to be like One Fish or Two Fish. He was special just the way he was! He was a good friend, a helpful builder, and a great guide.
That evening, Finley, One Fish, and Two Fish all swam together, watching the sunset. They were different, yes, but they were friends. And that’s what mattered most. One Fish zoomed in circles, Two Fish twirled, and Finley swam happily in between.
As the stars began to twinkle, Finley yawned. It had been a perfect day. He snuggled into his favorite sea anemone, feeling warm and cozy. Being himself, and being a good friend, was the best feeling in the whole wide ocean. Now close your eyes, little one, and dream of colorful fish and bubbly adventures.
