Goldilocks and the Three Bears: A Sweet Tale

3 min read ・ Age 6

In a cozy forest, nestled amongst towering trees, lived a family of three bears: Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear. They loved their home and filled it with comforting warmth and happy sounds. One sunny morning, a little girl named Lily ventured into the woods, seeking a delightful spot for a picnic.

Lily stumbled upon a charming little house nestled beneath a shady oak. Curious, she peeked inside. The house was empty, so she tiptoed inside and saw three chairs arranged in a row.

Lily sat in each chair to test if it was just right. Papa Bear's chair was too hard; Mama Bear's chair was too soft; but Baby Bear's chair was just perfect! A soft smile touched her lips as she sank into the cozy seat.

Next, she spied three bowls of porridge. She tasted Papa Bear's porridge, which was too hot and spicy. Mama Bear's porridge was too cold. But Baby Bear's porridge was just right, warm and creamy, and she devoured it all in a flash.

Then, she spotted three little beds. Papa Bear's was too big; Mama Bear's was too small; Baby Bear's bed was just the right size, soft, and inviting. Lily curled up and drifted into a peaceful slumber, dreaming of the delightful porridge.

Suddenly, she heard soft footsteps. Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear entered their cozy home. They were surprised to see the empty chairs, the empty porridge bowls, and Lily soundly asleep in Baby Bear's bed.

Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear exchanged worried glances. "Who could have been here?" asked Papa Bear.

Baby Bear tiptoed softly into the room, and she was delighted to see Lily sleeping so soundly. She remembered a delicious meal Lily had at her own home, and how happy it made her. She noticed the gentle way Lily had sat and eaten and slept, carefully avoiding any damage or mess.

Mama Bear gently awoke Lily. "Dear Lily," she said softly. "We were concerned. It's not nice to enter a home without permission, even if it's empty. Could you tell us your name so we can return your belongings, and know how to send you home safely?".

Lily woke with a start and apologised profusely, explaining that she was lost and hungry. The bears welcomed her with kind smiles, and after a warm, filling meal of treats Lily had brought, she explained her situation to them.

The bears, understanding that Lily was just a little lost and hungry, kindly offered her a warm drink and some sweet snacks, and Lily, feeling grateful and embarrassed, explained that she was seeking her way home. She had brought a little gift of flowers for the three bears. With the gifts they exchanged, they happily escorted Lily back to her home.

From that day on, Lily always remembered the three bears' kindness and the important lesson of respecting others' homes. She always asked permission to enter before entering another person's space.
