Once upon a time, deep in the forest, lived a family of bears. There was big Papa Bear, medium Mama Bear, and little Baby Bear. They lived in a cozy little house with a red door and windows that looked out at the trees.

One sunny morning, Mama Bear made a big pot of delicious porridge for breakfast. It smelled so yummy! But it was very, very hot. Papa Bear said, "Let's go for a walk in the forest while our porridge cools down." So, the three bears put on their walking shoes and went out for a nice walk.

Along came a little girl named Goldilocks. She had golden hair that shone in the sun. Goldilocks was exploring near the forest and saw the cozy little house. "Oh, what a sweet house!" she thought. She tapped on the door, but no one answered. The door was just a tiny bit open, and Goldilocks peeked inside.

It looked so warm and inviting! Goldilocks gently pushed the door open a little more and stepped inside. On the table, she saw three bowls of porridge. She was feeling a little hungry! She tried the big bowl, "Ouch, too hot!" she said softly. She tried the medium bowl, "Hmm, too cold!" she whispered. Then she tried the little bowl. "Ah, just right!" she smiled and finished it all up.

Next, Goldilocks saw three chairs. A big chair, a medium chair, and a little chair. She tried the big chair. "Too hard!" she mumbled. She tried the medium chair. "Too soft!" she sighed. Then she tried the little chair. "Just right!" she said happily. She sat there for a little while.

Feeling a little sleepy, Goldilocks saw three beds upstairs. A big bed, a medium bed, and a little bed. She tried the big bed. "Too high!" she yawned. She tried the medium bed. "Too bumpy!" she mumbled. Then she snuggled into the little bed. "Ah, just right!" she said softly, and soon she was fast asleep.

While Goldilocks was sleeping, the Three Bears came home from their walk. Papa Bear looked at the table. "Someone has been tasting my porridge," he rumbled gently. Mama Bear looked at hers. "Someone has been tasting my porridge," she said softly. Baby Bear looked at his empty bowl. "Someone has been tasting my porridge and ate it all up!" he squeaked sadly.

Then they looked at the chairs. "Someone has been sitting in my chair," said Papa Bear. "Someone has been sitting in my chair," said Mama Bear. "Someone has been sitting in my chair," squeaked Baby Bear.

They went upstairs to the bedroom. "Someone has been sleeping in my bed," rumbled Papa Bear. "Someone has been sleeping in my bed," said Mama Bear. Then Baby Bear looked at his little bed. "Someone has been sleeping in my bed, and here she is!" he squeaked, pointing to Goldilocks.

Goldilocks woke up and saw the three friendly faces looking at her. She felt a little shy. Papa Bear smiled kindly. "Hello there, little one," he said softly. Goldilocks explained she was just curious. Mama Bear said, "It's nice to visit, but it's always best to ask first before you come inside or use things." Goldilocks understood and said, "I'm very sorry."

The Bear family wasn't cross at all. They were kind and gentle. Baby Bear even offered her a pretend berry he found on their walk. Papa Bear walked Goldilocks safely back to the edge of the forest where her own house was. Goldilocks thanked the bears and waved goodbye. She had learned that it's important to respect others' homes and things, and the bears were happy they could help the little girl. And everyone lived happily ever after.
