Little Bear's Cozy Bedtime Story About a Bright New Star

Little Bear yawned a big, sleepy yawn. The moon was climbing high in the sky, painting everything silver outside his window. Mama Bear tucked him in his cozy bed, pulling the soft blanket right up to his chin.

"Close your eyes, Little Bear," whispered Mama. But Little Bear's eyes popped open again. He looked out the window, past the familiar trees and the sleepy owl on the branch. Tonight, there was something *new* in the sky.

High above the biggest tree, a tiny point of light twinkled, but tonight it seemed extra bright and sparkly. It was brighter than the other stars. Little Bear hadn't noticed *this* star before. It made his tummy feel just a tiny bit wobbly. Was it meant to be there?

"What's wrong, my little one?" asked Mama Bear softly. Little Bear pointed a paw towards the window. "That star, Mama! The bright, new one!" Mama Bear looked. She smiled gently.

"Ah yes," she said. "That's a very bright star tonight. Sometimes stars seem brighter or dimmer, and sometimes we notice them for the very first time. It's been there all along, just shining its best light tonight."

Little Bear looked at the bright star again. It wasn't wobbling anymore. It just sat there, shining like a friendly little lamp just for him. It looked calm and peaceful. Maybe new things weren't so strange after all. Maybe they could be... beautiful.

He snuggled deeper into his blanket. The new bright star felt like a special secret, twinkling just for him and Mama Moon. It made his cozy bed feel even cozier, and the quiet night feel even safer.

With a happy sigh, Little Bear closed his eyes. He knew the bright, new star would be watching over him while he dreamt sweet dreams. And that made going to sleep feel wonderful.
