Luna was a little moonbeam. She wasn't as big and bright as the moon, but she was very sparkly! Every night, Luna’s job was to dance among the stars and make sure they were shining their brightest. But tonight, something was different. The stars were…dim!
Luna zoomed over to Twinkle, the first star she saw. “Twinkle, why aren’t you sparkling?” she asked. Twinkle sighed. “I tried to shine really, really bright, but I used up all my sparkle! Now I just feel sleepy.”
Luna flew to another star, Flicker. Flicker was drooping! “I wanted to make a special pattern in the sky,” Flicker mumbled, “but I got mixed up and now I’m too tired to try again.” Luna realized all the stars were feeling a little sad and a little bit out of sparkle.
Luna thought hard. She wasn’t a big moonbeam, but she *was* a very kind one. She had an idea! “Don’t worry, stars!” she called out. “I can share my sparkle with you!”
Luna began to dance and twirl, sending tiny bits of her own sparkle to Twinkle, Flicker, and all the other sleepy stars. It didn’t make Luna any less sparkly, it just…shared the joy! As each star received a little sparkle from Luna, they began to glow brighter and brighter.
Twinkle tried shining again, and this time, it was perfect! Flicker practiced his pattern, and it was beautiful! All the stars were twinkling happily, thanks to Luna’s kindness.
“Wow, Luna,” said Twinkle, “You’re amazing! You helped us remember that even when we feel tired, we can still shine.”
Luna smiled. “It’s more fun to shine together!” she said. And as the stars twinkled and Luna danced, the whole night sky felt warm and cozy. Luna knew that even a little moonbeam could make a big difference, especially when she used her sparkle to help others.
