Once upon a time, on a tiny planet smaller than a house, lived a Little Prince. He had fluffy golden hair and eyes like sparkling stars. One night, as the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of orange and purple, the Little Prince felt a little bit scared.
It was his first night alone in his little castle, made from a giant rose bush. Usually, his fox friend stayed with him, but the fox was visiting his family. The Little Prince missed his friend terribly and the darkness seemed extra dark without him.
Suddenly, a tiny, friendly owl hooted from a nearby tree. 'Little Prince,' she hooted softly, 'are you afraid of the dark?' The Little Prince nodded, his eyes shining with unshed tears.
The wise owl smiled. 'The dark isn't scary,' she said, 'It's just the absence of light. And in the darkness, you can see the stars better.' She pointed towards the night sky, which was glittering with thousands of twinkling stars.
The Little Prince looked up and gasped. He had never noticed how many stars there were before! Some were bright and sparkly, others were faint and far away. He felt a sense of wonder replace his fear.
The owl told him stories of the constellations, of brave knights and magical creatures that lived among the stars. She whispered tales of faraway lands and brave adventurers. The Little Prince listened, captivated by her words and the beauty of the night.
As the owl finished her stories, the Little Prince felt sleepy. The stars seemed to wink at him, and the moon shone down like a gentle smile. He snuggled into his rose-bush castle, feeling safe and warm.
He remembered the owl’s kind words and knew that the dark wasn't scary; it was just a quiet time for dreams. He drifted off to sleep, dreaming of adventures with his friend, the fox, and the wise, friendly owl, thankful for their friendship and the comfort of his cozy bed.
