He moved gently, placing his paws softly on the strong parts of the branch. Soon, he found the most perfect, tender leaves he had ever seen.
He nibbled on the leaves slowly, tasting the minty freshness. It felt much nicer than rushing. Mama smiled. "See?" she murmured. "Being patient helps you find the best treats, and being gentle keeps you safe and sound in our tree home."
As the sun began to dip below the horizon, painting the sky in sleepy shades of orange and purple, Kenny felt a big yawn stretch his jaw. His eyes felt heavy after his day of careful climbing and happy munching.
"It's time to rest now, little climber," Mama whispered. She helped him find the coziest fork in the tree, a perfect snuggly spot where the branches held him like a soft armchair. "Rest helps your body grow strong, and it fills you up with energy for tomorrow's adventures."
Kenny nestled into the nook, feeling warm, safe, and very sleepy. He closed his eyes, listening to the rustle of the leaves and Mama's soft breathing nearby.
