Lily loved to draw. Her crayons were her friends, and her paper, a blank canvas for her imagination. Every night before bedtime, she’d pick up her crayons and draw pictures of her dreams.
Sometimes, her dreams were filled with playful kittens chasing sunbeams, or sparkling rivers flowing through fields of flowers. Other nights, she’d paint towering castles with doors made of rainbow candy and rooms filled with giggling clouds.
Her pictures weren't just pretty drawings; they were little stories waiting to be told. They were windows into her dreams, showcasing the colourful adventures she had while sleeping.
One evening, Lily drew a picture of a cozy little owl nestled in a giant moonbeam. The owl had big, round eyes and tiny, fluffy wings. It looked so peaceful, perched gently amongst the stars. As she coloured it, Lily felt a sense of calm wash over her.
She closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep, her little owl picture clutched in her hand. And just as she dreamed, her eyes opened in a soft, colourful dream, filled with the exact scene she had drawn – a cozy owl, nestled in a moonbeam. The soft colours and gentle shapes of her illustration soothed her mind and helped her drift into sweet sleep.
The next day, Lily realized her illustrations weren't just for bedtime. She could use her creativity to illustrate her everyday thoughts, too. When she felt happy, she'd draw sunshine. When she was a little sad, she’d paint flowers in the colours that brought her joy. It was a wonderful way to explore her feelings.
Lily learned that imagination and creativity were amazing tools. They helped her to find peace and joy in her day, and they helped her sleep soundly at night, making her dreams brighter than any picture.
And so, Lily continued to use her colourful illustrations to make her dreams come alive and keep her feelings well-expressed. Each night brought new colours, new adventures, and a sweet peace that came with the comfort of creativity.
