Once upon a time, in a cozy little village nestled beside a sparkling river, lived a family of bunnies. Mama Bunny loved reading stories to her children before bedtime, but sometimes, they were a bit too restless.

Little Bunny, Pip, was especially eager to jump and play. He wanted to hop through the tall grass, chase butterflies, and explore every nook and cranny before falling asleep.

One evening, Mama Bunny held up a beautifully illustrated book, "The Sleepy Meadow." 'This story is about a little frog who learned the importance of taking time to wind down before bedtime,' she said softly.

Pip listened intently, but his eyes kept darting around the room. He couldn't seem to quiet his tiny heart.

Mama Bunny gently explained, 'Just like the frog in the story, we need to take time to prepare for sleep. It helps us to be happy and ready for new adventures tomorrow.'

Pip understood. He saw how his sister, Lily, carefully brushed her fur, and how their brother, Jack, placed his favourite toys gently on his shelf. They knew they needed quiet time.

Mama Bunny continued, 'We need to relax our bodies and calm our minds so we're ready to dream of wonderful things.'

Pip, now settled and listening carefully, imagined the sleepy meadow and the soft sounds of the night. He imagined the moon shining down on the flowers and the stars twinkled.

She explained that reading, quiet play, or listening to soft music could help to settle their bodies and minds. Then they would be able to fall into a peaceful sleep.

Pip followed her example. He took slow, deep breaths and lay down in his cozy nest, feeling the warmth of his bed. He thought about the wonderful adventures he'd have the next day.

Soon, he felt his eyelids getting heavy. The quiet story had helped him understand the importance of a special bedtime routine. He understood the importance of taking time to prepare for sleep, much like the other members of the family.

Pip drifted off to sleep, dreaming of a sleepy meadow. He knew that by being patient and following the bedtime routine, he would be ready to wake up happy and rested tomorrow.

The next morning, Pip woke up feeling refreshed and ready to play. He knew that a calm bedtime routine brought great peace, helping him to grow and be ready for anything.

Mama Bunny smiled. 'See, Pip? A bedtime routine is not just about going to sleep, it's about making sure we're prepared to play and learn the next day too.'

Pip learned that being responsible for his own bedtime routine, and the routine of the entire family, was a gift that created a peaceful and happy bedtime time.
