Once upon a time, nestled near a sunny wood, lived a little girl named Goldilocks. She had bouncy golden curls and eyes full of wonder. One lovely morning, while butterflies danced around her, Goldilocks went for a walk deeper into the woods than ever before. She loved seeing new things!

Soon, she spotted a cozy little cottage tucked between the trees. Smoke puffed gently from its chimney, but the door was just a little bit open. Feeling very curious, Goldilocks peeked inside. "Hello?" she called softly. No one answered. The cottage smelled yummy, like sweet porridge.

On the table sat three bowls of porridge. A big bowl, a medium-sized bowl, and a tiny little bowl. Goldilocks felt a rumble in her tummy. She took a tiny taste from the big bowl. "Ooh, a little too warm," she whispered. She tried a tiny taste from the medium bowl. "Hmm, a little too cool." Then she tried the smallest bowl. "Yum, just right!" She ate a few spoonfuls.

Next, Goldilocks saw three chairs. A big chair, a medium-sized chair, and a tiny little chair. "My feet are tired," she thought. She tried sitting gently in the big chair. "Too hard!" She tried the medium chair. "Too soft!" Then she sat carefully in the tiny little chair. "Ah, just right!" But as she wiggled, the little chair wobbled and tipped right over with a gentle *thump*.

Feeling a little sleepy now, Goldilocks wandered upstairs. She saw three beds all in a row. A big bed, a medium-sized bed, and a tiny little bed. She patted the big bed. "Too bouncy!" She lay down for a second on the medium bed. "Too squishy!" Then she snuggled into the tiny little bed. It felt so cozy and soft. "Just right," she yawned, and fell fast asleep.

Just then, the owners of the cottage came home. It was a family of three kind bears: Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear. They had been for a walk while their porridge cooled. "Someone has been near our porridge," said Papa Bear in his big, gentle voice, noticing the spoons.

"Someone tasted my porridge!" squeaked Baby Bear softly, looking at his almost-empty bowl. Then they saw the chairs. "Someone has been sitting in our chairs," said Mama Bear kindly. "And someone tipped over my chair!" whispered Baby Bear, looking sadly at his little chair on the floor.

Quietly, the three bears went upstairs. They saw Goldilocks sleeping peacefully in Baby Bear's bed. Papa Bear gently nudged her shoulder. "Hello?" he rumbled softly. Goldilocks slowly opened her eyes. She saw three furry faces looking down at her kindly.

Goldilocks sat up. She wasn't scared, because the bears had gentle eyes. But she felt shy and knew she shouldn't have come inside without asking. "Oh, excuse me," she said quietly. "I'm Goldilocks. I am very sorry I came into your house. I was just so curious." She quickly hopped off the bed and helped Baby Bear set his little chair upright again.

Mama Bear smiled gently. "It's nice to meet you, Goldilocks. It's okay to be curious, but it's very important to knock first and wait to be invited before going into someone else's home." Goldilocks nodded. "I understand. I promise I will always knock next time. Thank you for being so kind." The three bears smiled and waved goodbye as Goldilocks skipped happily back home, ready for her own bed.
