Once upon a time, there were three little pigs. They grew bigger and bigger, and soon their mother said, "It's time for you to go out into the world and build homes of your own!"

The first little pig was very playful. He wanted to finish quickly so he could play all day. He gathered straw and built a house very, very quickly. "There!" he said. "Easy peasy!"

The second little pig wasn't quite as playful, but he still wanted to have fun. He collected sticks and built a house a little stronger than the first, but still quite fast. "This will do nicely," he chuckled.

The third little pig was a hard worker. He knew a strong house took time and effort. He gathered bricks, one by one, and carefully built a sturdy house. It took many days, and his brothers teased him, but he kept working.

One day, a grumpy wolf came along. He huffed and he puffed at the straw house, and WHOOSH! It blew down. The first little pig ran to his brother’s stick house.

The wolf followed and huffed and he puffed at the stick house, and CRASH! It blew down too. The two little pigs ran as fast as they could to their brother’s brick house.

The wolf huffed and he puffed and he huffed and he puffed at the brick house, but it wouldn't budge! The brick house was strong and safe. The wolf was very frustrated.

He tried to climb down the chimney, but the third little pig had a clever idea. He lit a big pot of water on the fireplace. SPLASH! The wolf landed right in the warm water and ran away, yelping!

The wolf didn't bother the little pigs again. The three little pigs were safe and sound. But the third little pig noticed something. A little bird had fallen from its nest near the chimney.

The little pigs carefully rescued the bird and built it a tiny, cozy nest right outside their brick house. They shared their berries with the bird, and soon it was chirping happily.

The three little pigs learned that working hard to build something strong was important, but being kind and helping others was even better. They lived happily ever after, with a warm house and a sweet little friend.
