Barnaby Bear was a little bear. The sun was going down outside. It was getting dark blue and quiet. Barnaby felt a big, slow yawn stretch all the way through him. Ahhh! It was bedtime soon, and Barnaby felt very sleepy.

Barnaby loved bedtime. It meant getting cozy and soft. First, he went to find his special blue blanket. It was tucked on the little chair by his bookshelf. He picked it up. Oh, it was so soft and felt warm already! He hugged his blanket tight.

Next, Barnaby found his best friend, Teddy. Teddy was a soft, brown bear, just a little bit smaller than Barnaby. Teddy always slept with Barnaby. "Come on, Teddy," Barnaby whispered. "It's time for bed."

Barnaby held Teddy in one arm and his soft blue blanket in the other. He walked slowly through his room. He said goodnight to his bright red train on the floor. "Goodnight, little train." He said goodnight to the picture of flowers on the wall. "Goodnight, pretty flowers."

Then he walked to his little bed. His bed had soft white sheets and a fluffy pillow. It looked so soft and inviting, like a cloud ready to hold him. Barnaby carefully climbed into his bed.

He laid Teddy right next to his pillow. He pulled his blue blanket all the way up to his chin. It felt so warm and safe, like a gentle hug. He wiggled his toes under the covers. So cozy!

Barnaby looked out the window above his bed. The moon was starting to peek out from behind a cloud. It looked like a soft, white smile in the dark sky. "Goodnight, moon," whispered Barnaby in a very sleepy voice. "Thank you for watching over me."

He closed his eyes. He felt the soft, familiar weight of the blanket. He felt Teddy's furry ear brushing his cheek. He felt so comfortable and loved, tucked in his safe little bed.

Barnaby took a deep, slow breath in. Then he let it out, very slowly. He did it again. In... and out... The sleepy feeling grew stronger with each breath. His body felt heavy and relaxed.

The room was quiet now. The house was quiet. The whole world outside felt quiet and still. Only the soft light of the moon shone through the window, making gentle patterns on the floor.

Barnaby snuggled Teddy closer. He pulled the blue blanket a little tighter around his shoulders. Sleepy thoughts floated away like little bubbles floating up to the sky.

Soon, Barnaby was not thinking anymore. His mind was quiet and peaceful. He was just sleeping. Soft, gentle snores filled the little room.

Barnaby Bear was fast asleep, tucked in his bed, dreaming sweet and peaceful dreams. He would sleep soundly until the morning sun came up. Goodnight, Barnaby. Goodnight, Teddy. Goodnight, little one, sleep well.
