Ducky's Dreamy Bedtime: A Sweet Duck Story

Little Ducky was a very busy duckling! All day long, he splashed in puddles, chased butterflies, and quacked hello to everyone he met. But when the sun began to set, Ducky didn’t want to stop playing. “Just one more splash!” he’d quack, even when Mama Duck said it was bedtime.

Mama Duck smiled. “Bedtime is important, Ducky,” she said gently. “It helps you grow big and strong, and it gives you sweet dreams.” She began Ducky’s bedtime routine. First, a warm bath with bubbly water. Ducky loved splashing, even in the tub!

Then, Mama Duck dried Ducky with a soft towel. Next came a cozy pajama onesie with little yellow feet. Ducky giggled as Mama Duck helped him wiggle into it. “All tucked in!” Mama Duck said.

Ducky still felt a little bit wiggly. “But I’m not sleepy!” he protested. Mama Duck sat beside him and began to read a story about a little boat sailing on a calm lake. The story was very peaceful and quiet.

As Mama Duck read, Ducky snuggled closer. He listened to the gentle rhythm of her voice. He imagined the little boat rocking softly on the water. He started to feel sleepy, very sleepy.

“I… I think I am sleepy now,” Ducky yawned. Mama Duck kissed his forehead. “Goodnight, my sweet Ducky. Sweet dreams.”

Ducky closed his eyes. He remembered all the fun he had during the day, and he knew he would have even more fun tomorrow. But for now, it was time to rest. He felt safe and warm and loved. He drifted off to sleep, dreaming of splashing in puddles and chasing butterflies. And Mama Duck smiled, knowing her little duckling was having sweet dreams.
