Dreamy Dino's Bedtime Adventure: A Gentle Story

Little Dino was a very bouncy dinosaur. He loved to stomp and roar and play! But tonight, when the sun went down, Little Dino couldn't sleep. He wiggled his toes and wiggled his nose, but he just couldn't get comfy. "I'm not sleepy!" he boomed, but his voice sounded a little bit wobbly.

Mama Dino smiled. "Sometimes, Little Dino, even bouncy dinosaurs need a little help to calm down. Let's try our bedtime routine." First, they had a warm, bubbly bath with lavender bubbles that smelled like flowers. Little Dino splashed a little, but Mama Dino gently reminded him to splash softly.

Next, they put on cozy pajamas with little stars on them. Then, Mama Dino read a story about a sleepy sloth who yawned and yawned all day. Little Dino tried to yawn too, but it was hard! He giggled instead.

Mama Dino then started to sing a quiet song. It wasn't a loud, stomping song, but a soft, gentle lullaby. She rubbed Little Dino’s back, and he started to feel his bouncy energy slowly melt away. He noticed the stars twinkling outside his window.

“What are the stars doing, Mama?” Little Dino whispered. “They’re winking goodnight,” Mama Dino said. “And they’re telling you it’s time to rest.” Little Dino closed his eyes and imagined he was floating among the stars, soft and peaceful.

He thought about all the fun he had playing that day, and how much he loved his Mama. He took a deep breath, and then another. Each breath felt calmer than the last. He realized it was okay to feel sleepy, and it was okay to rest.

Soon, Little Dino’s eyes fluttered closed. He wasn’t bouncing anymore. He wasn’t roaring anymore. He was just… sleepy. Mama Dino kissed his forehead. “Sweet dreams, my little dinosaur,” she whispered. Little Dino drifted off to dreamland, dreaming of stars and soft, sleepy sloths.
