Crocky the Little Crocodile Learns Sharing by the Riverbank

Little Crocky lived by a wide, sunny river. He was a small green crocodile who loved to play. He wasn't big and scary, oh no! Crocky liked hide-and-seek among the lily pads and splashing his tail in the cool water. Each morning, the warm sun made him feel ready for a new day of exploring his riverside home.

One bright morning, Crocky found something wonderful! Plop! A big, ripe, juicy mango fell from a tree right onto the soft sand. Crocky's eyes grew wide. He loved mangoes! This was the biggest and juiciest he'd ever seen. "Yummy! All mine!" he thought, carefully picking it up in his little claws.

Just then, his riverbank friends came along to play. There was Toby the Turtle, peeking out from his shell. There was Freddie the Frog, sitting on a big green lily pad. And fluttering down was Pip the little bird. They saw Crocky and the yummy mango and looked at him with their kind, friendly eyes.

Crocky held the mango tight. He really, really wanted it all to himself. Eating a big, delicious mango all alone sounded very nice. But looking at his friends' patient faces, he started to think. Maybe sharing this special treat would feel nice? He hadn't shared his favorite things much before, and it felt a little strange, but his friends looked so friendly and hopeful.

Taking a little breath, Crocky decided to try. He carefully used his claws to break the big mango into juicy pieces. It wasn't easy work for his little hands, but soon, he had several sweet chunks ready to share. The wonderful, sweet smell of the mango filled the air and made everyone's tummies feel a little excited.

First, he offered a piece to Pip the bird, who chirped a happy thank you and pecked happily at the fruit. Then, he pushed a piece towards Toby the Turtle, who munched slowly and smiled with quiet pleasure. Next, he tossed a piece gently to Freddie the Frog, who caught it quickly with a little flick of his tongue and ribbited softly.

Now, Crocky had his own piece left. He ate it, and it tasted even better than he imagined. Eating the mango together under the shady bush felt much happier than eating it all alone would have. Pip chirped, Toby munched, and Freddie ribbited softly. They were all happy friends sharing a yummy treat.

Crocky felt a warm, happy feeling in his chest. Sharing his special mango made his friends happy, and it made him feel happy too! He learned that being kind and sharing your special things makes friendship even more wonderful and playtime even sweeter.

As the sun started to dip below the trees, painting the sky with soft colors, Crocky felt cozy and content. He said goodnight to his friends and snuggled into his favorite spot by the riverbank. He felt full of delicious mango and warm friendship, ready for sweet dreams. Sharing had truly made his day the best day ever.
