Barnaby the cartoon cat loved his comfy bed. It was a soft, fluffy cloud, shaped like a giant, smiling crescent moon. Every night, Barnaby would prepare for sleep with a special routine.
First, he’d carefully brush his whiskers with a tiny, sparkly brush. He brushed them gently, making sure each whisker felt its best for a night of dreaming.
Next, Barnaby would tidy up his cozy den. He’d put his favorite stuffed mouse, Mortimer, in his special bed, tucked him in snugly.
Then, he’d carefully arrange his collection of moon rocks on the windowsill, making sure they lined up perfectly. He knew the moonlight would reflect beautifully on them, adding an extra touch of magic to his bedroom.
Barnaby loved this part of his routine. It always made him feel calm and peaceful. He knew that preparing for sleep made it much easier to drift off to sleep.
He'd take a deep breath, and slowly close his eyes. It wasn't always easy to fall asleep right away, but tonight, the soft snores of Mortimer, the perfect arrangement of the moon rocks, and the soft moonlight all helped him.
Barnaby closed his eyes tighter. He pictured a big, bright moon and soft clouds, and he imagined floating gently through the night sky. The gentle hum of the night, the soft crunch of the moon rocks in the moonbeams - all these small things made him feel safe and cozy and ready for sleep.
He thought of the things he'd do when he woke up – perhaps chase a sunbeam, or play with Mortimer, or simply enjoy the quiet peace of the morning. All of these happy thoughts made him drowsy and comfortable and ready to drift off.
Barnaby snuggled deeper into his cloud bed and breathed gently. He closed his eyes and drifted off, feeling peaceful and ready for the dreams that awaited him.
He knew tomorrow was another exciting day filled with happy adventures! But for now, it was bedtime, and Barnaby was ready to enjoy a peaceful night of slumber.
