The Little Sparkle Witch Who Made Star Soup

2 min read ・ Age 3

Once upon a time, high up on a gentle little hill, lived a tiny witch named Willow. Now, Willow wasn't the kind of witch you read about in spooky books. Oh no! Willow had a sparkly purple hat that wobbled a little, and a cloak the color of soft moonlight. Her nose wasn't pointy at all, and when she giggled, it sounded like little bells tinkling.

Willow loved the nighttime best of all. She had a special little broomstick, but it didn't zoom fast through the air. It floated and bobbed very gently, like a fluffy cloud. Every evening, as the sun said goodnight, Willow would climb onto her bobbing broomstick and float up towards the darkening sky.

Her favorite thing to do was make 'Star Soup'. It wasn't real soup that you eat! It was a game she played with her gentle magic. Willow would float near the shy little stars just starting to twinkle. With a wave of her hand, not a zap or a bang, but a soft little sparkle, she would encourage them to shine a little brighter.

She would sprinkle invisible 'sparkle dust' that made the fireflies glow extra cheerfully down below. She would gently nudge the fluffy clouds to make interesting shapes for sleepy children to see from their windows. Her 'spells' were just quiet whispers of kindness and soft twinkles.

Sometimes, she would float all the way up to talk to the big, friendly moon. "Goodnight, Mr. Moon," she'd whisper. "Please watch over all the sleeping little ones." And the moon would seem to smile, glowing its soft, warm light down on the world.

When she felt sleepy herself, Willow the tiny witch would bob back down to her little house on the gentle hill. She would put her sparkly hat on a hook and her bobbing broomstick by the door. She'd curl up in her little bed, dreaming of gentle sparkles, kind stars, and the friendly moon.

And as she drifted off to sleep, Willow knew that being a witch didn't have to be scary. It could be about being kind, making things a little brighter, and helping the nighttime feel safe and full of gentle magic for everyone.
