Luna was a very special unicorn. Her coat was the color of fresh snow, and her horn shimmered with all the colors of the rainbow. But Luna’s most amazing gift was her sparkle. Whenever she galloped, tiny, glittering sparkles floated from her hooves, making everything around her brighter and happier. Luna loved her sparkle, and she didn’t like to share it.
She lived in a meadow filled with other magical creatures: fluffy cloud sheep, giggling flower fairies, and playful little sprites. They all admired Luna’s sparkle, but whenever they asked for just a little bit to brighten their own corners of the meadow, Luna would shake her head. “My sparkle is special,” she’d say. “I need it all for myself.”
One day, Old Man Willow, the wisest tree in the meadow, noticed Luna’s sadness. Even though she had all the sparkle, she didn’t seem very happy. He gently creaked, “Luna, dear, why do you keep your sparkle to yourself? A light shines brightest when it’s shared.”
Luna sighed. “But what if I run out? What if I don’t have enough sparkle for myself?”
Old Man Willow smiled. “Sparkle isn’t something you can *use up*, Luna. It grows when you share it. Try it, and you’ll see.”
Hesitantly, Luna agreed. She trotted over to the flower fairies, who were trying to make their petals glow for the evening. She closed her eyes and galloped in a small circle, letting her sparkles drift down onto the flowers. The fairies gasped with delight as their petals began to shimmer and shine.
Then, she sprinkled sparkle on the cloud sheep, making their wool gleam like silver. She even shared a little with the sprites, who used it to create tiny, twinkling lights for their games. As Luna shared her sparkle, something amazing happened. She felt a warm glow inside, a feeling much brighter and happier than just having sparkle all to herself.
She noticed her horn was shining even *more* brightly than before, and more sparkles were floating from her hooves! Old Man Willow was right – her sparkle had grown!
The meadow was now filled with light and laughter. The flower fairies danced, the cloud sheep bounced, and the sprites twinkled with joy. Luna realized that sharing her sparkle hadn’t made her less special; it had made her even more so. It had brought happiness to everyone around her, and that made her the happiest unicorn in the world.
From that day on, Luna always shared her sparkle. She learned that true happiness wasn’t about having everything for herself, but about bringing joy to others. And every night, as she drifted off to sleep, she knew that her sparkle would continue to grow, spreading kindness and light throughout the meadow.
