Luna the little firefly was a bit scared of the dark. While all the other fireflies zipped and zoomed around, flashing their bright lights, Luna stayed close to her mama, her own little light flickering nervously.

One night, Mama Firefly told Luna a story about the stars. "Each tiny twinkle," she said, "is a little light like yours, only much, much bigger and further away. They shine brightly, even when it's dark."

Luna looked up at the vast, inky sky, sprinkled with countless glittering stars. They seemed so far away, so powerful. She wished she could be brave like them.

Suddenly, a gust of wind blew Luna away from her mama! She tumbled and spun, her little light flashing wildly. She was all alone in the big, dark night. Tears welled up in her eyes.

But then, Luna remembered her mama's story. She took a deep breath and focused on her own tiny light. She flew upwards, towards the brightest star she could see. It seemed to call to her.

As she flew, she saw another little light, flickering weakly. It was a lost firefly, even smaller than Luna! Luna, remembering her own fear, flew closer and offered her light, sharing her warmth and courage.

Together, the two fireflies flew towards the brightest star, their combined lights a beacon in the darkness. They found their way back to the other fireflies, who were overjoyed to see them.

That night, Luna learned that even the smallest light can shine brightly, especially when shared with a friend. And even though the dark was still a little scary, it wasn't as frightening when she had her courage and her friends to help her.

From that day on, Luna wasn't afraid of the dark anymore. She knew that even in the vastness of the night, her little light, and the lights of her friends, could always find their way home. And she often looked up at the stars, remembering her adventure and the wonder of the night sky.
