The Easter Bunny's Big Mistake and a Sweet Surprise

Barnaby the Easter Bunny was very busy! It was almost Easter, and he had SO many eggs to paint and hide. He wanted everything to be perfect for all the little children. Barnaby loved making Easter special.

This year, Barnaby decided to try a new kind of egg – sparkly rainbow eggs! But… oh dear. The sparkly dust was *very* messy. He tried and tried to mix the colors, but they just wouldn’t stick. They kept sliding off the eggs and making a glittery puddle on his workshop floor.

Barnaby sighed. He’d never made rainbow eggs before. He felt a little bit sad and a little bit frustrated. He wanted to do a good job, but it was so hard! He almost wished he’d just stuck to painting plain, pretty eggs.

Just then, Rosie Rabbit hopped by. Rosie was known for her beautiful flower paintings. “What’s wrong, Barnaby?” she asked kindly. Barnaby explained about the sparkly dust and the slippery colors.

Rosie smiled. “Sometimes, it’s okay to ask for help, you know,” she said. “I can show you a trick! A tiny bit of honey will help the sparkles stick.”

Barnaby’s ears perked up. He’d never thought of using honey! Rosie showed him how to mix a little honey with the sparkly dust, and *wow*! The colors stayed on the eggs perfectly. They shimmered and shone!

Barnaby and Rosie worked together, painting all the rainbow eggs. It was much more fun with a friend! They even made a few extra sparkly eggs to share with the other bunnies.

On Easter morning, the children were delighted with the rainbow eggs. They sparkled in the sunshine, and everyone agreed they were the most beautiful eggs ever. Barnaby learned that asking for help wasn’t a bad thing at all, and sharing the joy made Easter even sweeter.

Barnaby hopped happily, knowing that even when things get tricky, a little kindness and a little help can make everything bright and beautiful. And that’s the best Easter surprise of all!
