Fluffy was a little cloud, smaller than most. He wasn't big and booming like Reginald, the rain cloud, or wide and wonderful like Celeste, the sunset cloud. Fluffy was just…fluffy. Sometimes, he worried he wasn’t special enough. He floated along, watching the world below, wishing he could do something important.
One day, Fluffy saw a little garden looking very sad. The flowers were drooping, and the leaves were dusty. ‘Oh dear,’ thought Fluffy. ‘They need water!’ But Reginald was far away, busy watering Farmer Giles’ fields. Fluffy was too small to hold much water himself.
He zoomed over to Celeste, who was painting the sky with beautiful oranges and pinks. ‘Celeste,’ he called, ‘the garden needs help! But I’m too small to water it.’ Celeste smiled warmly. ‘Being big isn’t everything, Fluffy. Sometimes, it’s about being clever.’
Celeste told Fluffy to gather all the tiny water droplets he could find. Fluffy zipped around, collecting every little drop, even the ones clinging to the highest mountain peaks. It took a long time, and he felt very tired, but he didn’t give up. He remembered the sad flowers.
When Fluffy was full, he flew back to the garden. He couldn’t pour a big rain shower like Reginald, but he could sprinkle a gentle mist. He floated slowly, releasing the water droplets, one by one, onto the thirsty plants.
The flowers perked up immediately! They lifted their heads and smiled. The leaves became bright green again. A little girl named Lily, who was tending the garden, looked up and giggled. ‘Thank you, little cloud!’ she called.
Fluffy felt a warm glow inside. He hadn’t needed to be big or booming to make a difference. He had used his kindness and imagination to help others. Celeste floated by. ‘See, Fluffy?’ she said. ‘You *are* special. You helped the garden in your own special way.’
Reginald rumbled over, impressed. ‘Well done, little one! You showed us all that even the smallest cloud can do great things.’ From that day on, Fluffy wasn’t worried about being small. He knew that being kind and helpful was the most important thing of all. He continued to float across the sky, always looking for ways to brighten someone’s day.
As the stars began to twinkle, Fluffy found a cozy spot next to Celeste. He closed his cloudy eyes, feeling happy and content. And as you close *your* eyes, remember that just like Fluffy, you are special too. Sweet dreams!
