Luna was a little cloud, and she worried a lot. All the other clouds were big and fluffy, perfect for making shapes like bunnies and dragons. Luna was small and wispy, and sometimes she felt she wasn't a *real* cloud at all. She tried to puff herself up, but it just didn't work! She wished she could be big and strong like Cloud Papa.
One sunny afternoon, Luna drifted near a group of bigger clouds. They were busy making a giant cloud castle! Luna wanted to help, but she was afraid they’d laugh at her small size. She hid behind Cloud Papa, peeking out shyly.
A little girl down below pointed up at Luna. “Look, Mommy!” she cried. “A tiny, sparkly cloud! It looks like a fairy’s wing!” Luna had never thought of herself as sparkly before. It made her feel a little bit better.
Suddenly, the big clouds started to wobble! They were trying to build a tall tower, but it kept falling over. “Oh dear!” boomed Cloud Papa. “We need something small and gentle to hold the very top steady!”
All the big clouds looked around. Then, one of them noticed Luna. “Luna!” he called. “You’re perfect! Your small size and gentle shape will be just right!” Luna was surprised. She floated up to the top of the tower and, sure enough, she held it perfectly steady.
The big clouds cheered! “You saved our castle, Luna!” they said. Luna beamed. She wasn’t big and fluffy, but she was *helpful*. And that felt wonderful.
From that day on, Luna wasn’t worried about being small anymore. She learned that everyone is special in their own way. She made lots of new friends, and they all loved her for being Luna – a small, sparkly, and very important cloud. She discovered that even the smallest cloud can make a big difference.
As the sun began to set, Luna drifted slowly across the sky, feeling happy and peaceful. She knew that even when things feel a little bit scary, being yourself is the most important thing of all. Now close your eyes, little one, and dream of fluffy cloud friends and sparkly wings. Sweet dreams!
