Clucky the chick was a happy little chicken. She loved to peck at the grass, chase butterflies, and make friends with her feathered neighbors.
One sunny morning, Clucky found a shiny, red berry. It was the biggest, juiciest berry she had ever seen!
Excited, Clucky rushed to her best friend, Pip, who was busy searching for juicy worms.
With a happy chirp, Clucky showed Pip the beautiful berry. "Look!" she squeaked.
"Wow, that's a great berry!" Pip chirped back.
But Pip was still hungry. He had a tiny tummy ache and wanted to find more worms.
"Maybe we can share it?" Clucky suggested, her little heart filled with a good feeling.
"Oh, Clucky, you're the bestest friend!" Pip replied happily. He pointed to a nearby patch of worms.
Clucky watched Pip dig up juicy worms. She wasn't too hungry now, thinking how much fun it was to be with Pip.
While Pip dug, Clucky patiently waited, feeling happy and content. She watched Pip's tiny, busy feet and his bright eyes as he worked with so much energy.
Soon, Pip had filled his little pouch with worms. He chirped happily, "I have enough for both of us!"
Clucky chirped with joy as she saw Pip's happy face, and munched on a bite of the delicious berry.
They spent the rest of the afternoon playing together, their friendship growing stronger with each passing minute.
Clucky learned that sharing and patience made their playtime even more enjoyable.
As the sun began to set, Clucky snuggled into her nest, thinking about her wonderful day and the friendship she treasured.
That night, Clucky dreamt of juicy worms and big berries, and of the sweet feeling of being a good friend.
Being patient and sharing, Clucky realized, made her a very happy chicken.
Soon she drifted off to sleep, filled with gratitude for her best friend, Pip.
