Rosie was a bright, shiny red car. She loved to zoom! Rosie loved zooming so much, she often forgot about the other cars on the road. She’d whiz past, leaving a little puff of dust, and think, “I’m the fastest! I get to go first!”
One sunny morning, Rosie was on her way to a picnic in the park. She zoomed past Old Man Tiber, a slow, blue truck carrying flowers. “Move it along, slowpoke!” Rosie called out. Old Man Tiber just smiled and waved. Then, she sped past Bessie, a yellow school bus filled with happy children. “Beep beep! Out of my way!” she honked.
But soon, Rosie came to a very busy roundabout. Cars were coming from all directions! She tried to zoom through, but there was no space. She honked and honked, but no one moved. Rosie started to feel frustrated. “This is terrible!” she grumbled. “I’m stuck!”
Old Man Tiber, with his flowers, gently pulled up beside her. “Patience, Rosie,” he said kindly. “Everyone needs a turn. It’s much more fun when we all share the road.” Bessie the school bus also stopped nearby. The children waved to Rosie.
Rosie looked around. She saw that everyone was waiting politely for their turn. She took a deep breath and waited too. When it was her turn, she carefully drove around the roundabout, waving to Old Man Tiber and Bessie. She even slowed down a little to let a tiny green scooter go ahead of her.
As she drove to the picnic, Rosie realized something amazing. Sharing the road wasn’t so bad! It was actually…nice. She waved to every car she passed and even gave Old Man Tiber a friendly honk. He waved back with a flower.
At the picnic, Rosie told everyone about her morning. “I learned that being kind and patient is much better than being the fastest,” she said. “Sharing the road makes everyone’s journey happier!” And from that day on, Rosie the red car wasn’t just the fastest car, she was the *kindest* car on the road.
As the sun began to set, Rosie parked under a big oak tree, feeling sleepy and content. She knew that tomorrow would be another day filled with adventures, and she couldn’t wait to share the road with all her friends.
