Sparkle was a little unicorn with a mane as fluffy as a cloud and a horn that shimmered like a rainbow. She loved playing in the meadow with her friends, the bunny Pip and the squirrel Nutsy.
One night, as the stars twinkled, Sparkle felt a little scared. It was her first night sleeping alone in her cozy little stable. Pip and Nutsy were already snuggled in their nests, fast asleep.
Sparkle missed her friends terribly. She wished she could have someone to cuddle with, but she was trying to be brave. She took a deep breath and whispered to herself, "I can do this!"
Suddenly, she heard a tiny squeak. A little field mouse, Millie, was huddled near the stable door, shivering in the night air. Millie was lost and scared.
Sparkle's heart melted. She knew exactly what Millie needed. She gently guided Millie into her warm stable and shared her hay with her. Millie snuggled close to Sparkle, feeling safe and warm.
Sparkle told Millie stories about the stars and the moon, and they whispered secrets to each other until Millie’s little eyes closed. Sparkle found herself feeling much braver and less lonely, too.
As the sun started to peek over the horizon, Millie woke up, feeling happy and refreshed. She thanked Sparkle for her kindness and ran off to find her family.
Sparkle felt a warm glow inside. Helping Millie had made her feel brave and happy. She realised that being kind to others made her own bedtime much sweeter. She was ready for her own special unicorn dream.
From that day on, Sparkle wasn't afraid of sleeping alone anymore. She knew that even if she felt scared, her kindness and bravery would always help her. And sometimes, helping others brings the best kind of magical bedtime adventure.
