Leo was a little lion with a very BIG roar! It wasn't a scary roar, oh no. It was a happy, booming, sunshine-filled roar. But Leo didn't like to share his roar. He thought it was *his* special sound, and he wanted to keep it all to himself.
Every morning, Leo would practice his roar. “ROAR!” he’d boom, making the butterflies flutter and the little birds giggle. But when his friends, Zara the Zebra and Penelope the Penguin, asked if they could try, Leo would shake his mane and say, “No! It’s *my* roar!”
Zara and Penelope felt sad. They loved hearing Leo’s roar, it made them feel happy too. But Leo didn’t understand. He thought if they used his roar, it wouldn’t be special anymore. One day, Leo was trying to reach a juicy mango high up in a tree. He stretched and stretched, but it was just too far.
“ROAR!” he tried, hoping the sound would shake the mango loose. But it didn’t work. Zara and Penelope saw Leo struggling. “Maybe if we all roar together,” suggested Zara, “it will be a super-roar and knock the mango down!”
Leo hesitated. Share his roar? But he was really hungry for that mango. He took a deep breath and nodded. “Okay,” he said quietly. Zara and Penelope took a deep breath too. “ROAR!” they all shouted together. It was the biggest, most wonderful roar the savanna had ever heard!
The mango tumbled down, landing right in front of Leo. He happily munched on the sweet fruit. But something even sweeter happened. Leo felt a warm glow inside. Sharing his roar hadn’t made it less special; it had made it *more* special!
“Wow!” said Penelope. “That was amazing! Our roar was so much louder together!” Leo smiled. “You’re right!” he said. “It’s much more fun to share.” From that day on, Leo loved sharing his roar with his friends. They would practice together, making the savanna a happier, louder, and more joyful place.
Leo learned that sharing wasn’t about giving something away; it was about making something even better, together. And that, he realized, was the best roar of all. Now close your eyes, little one, and dream of big roars and even bigger friendships.
