Little Lamb was a very bouncy lamb! He loved to leap and play in the green meadow. But sometimes, Little Lamb didn't listen very well. His mama would say, "Little Lamb, it's almost bedtime," and Little Lamb would just bounce higher!
One evening, Mama Lamb said, "Little Lamb, time for your warm milk and a gentle brush." Little Lamb wanted *one* more bounce! He bounced and bounced, right past his milk and his brush. "Just one more!" he bleated.
Mama Lamb smiled gently. "Little Lamb, when we follow our bedtime routine, it helps us feel calm and sleepy. A warm milk helps your tummy, and a brush makes your wool so soft and cozy."
Little Lamb finally stopped bouncing. He was starting to feel a little tired. He slowly walked over to Mama Lamb, who poured him a cup of warm milk. It smelled so sweet and comforting!
After his milk, Mama Lamb gently brushed his wool. It felt so nice! Little Lamb closed his eyes. The brushing was like a little lullaby.
"Now," said Mama Lamb, "let's snuggle in the barn with all the other lambs." Little Lamb snuggled close to his mama, feeling warm and safe. He realized that listening to Mama Lamb wasn't so bad after all.
He looked around at the other lambs, all cozy and quiet. He took a deep breath and felt his bouncy energy slowly fade away. He was starting to feel very, very sleepy.
Mama Lamb whispered, "Goodnight, Little Lamb. Sweet dreams." Little Lamb snuggled even closer and closed his eyes. He dreamt of green meadows and gentle brushes, and he knew that listening to his mama helped him have the best bedtime ever.
And as the stars twinkled outside the barn, Little Lamb drifted off to sleep, a happy and peaceful little lamb.
